Moving to a new area can be a daunting but exciting adventure. Whether you’re doing it on your own or with your family, there’s lots of things to consider when making the big move.

The great thing about Miami is that it offers many wonderful neighborhoods – one being the Brickell area. This urban neighborhood sits within Florida’s second largest county, Miami-Dade county. Situated South of Downtown Miami, this bustling area is the best of both worlds, offering nearby leisure activities and a vibrant nightlife.

Known as Miami’s Manhattan, Brickell is the city’s financial centre. Skyscrapers dominate the skies, their designs and coloration reflecting the clear blue waters of the Biscayne Bay. Also offering rooftop bars with views of the surrounding seas and neighborhoods.

The streets of Brickell are lined with boutiques/brands, 5-star hotels and a high-end movie theatre. In addition, at the heart of Brickell is a 200,000 square foot shopping centre, home to a parade of exclusive restaurants, bars and retail stores to please any spender.

The glorious thing about the Brickell neighborhood is that it has its quirks such as a Moulin Rouge themed barbershop named Razzledazzle, offering late night haircuts till 10pm. Whilst Brickell is an urban neighborhood, it offers many parks and nature reserves including the Alice Wainwright Park, the Allen Morris Brickell Park and the Miami Circle which is an archaeological site nearly 2,000 years old. Furthermore, it has many museums including the Pérez Art Museum Miami situated in a 21-acre space which also plays host to music festivals.

Other museums within the area include the interactive Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science which features a three-level aquarium, natural history and a planetarium.
